Connecting Shielding Gas

I have a HH187 and finally picked up 125cf of 75/25 today.  The instructions are not very clear.  There is a hose with a threaded end that I assume goes into the welder.  The hose looks to attach to a nipple on the regulator (looks like fuel line with a small pressure clamp).  Then, the big threaded fitting on the regulator looks to attach to the tank.  Do I have it correct?  It looks like the fittings are self sealing and do not require Teflon tape.  Is that correct?  The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the rubber hose attachment on the regulator.  This simple band clamp attachment on the nipple does not look like it will make an airtight seal.  Your thoughts?
Reply:That's correct. The band clamp will be fine. You're not going to have high pressure coming out of the regulator anyway. There's a world of difference between the function and sealing of pipe threads and compression fittings.....not understood by some.
