always been quite good at sketching birds of prey so decided to try a sculpture out of steel. This is my first effort and is about half done. I used a hypertherm 85 powermax to cut the wings after making a cardboard template. I found its quite easy to make feather effects by turning the amps down to about 35 and running the plasma torch quickly over the steel so it doesn't quite cut. So far about 12 hours work. I hope to finish by next week then get it hot dipped. The next one im gonna do in 1mm brushed stainless Attached Images
Reply:Very nice. Somewhere I have some pics of an eagle that is over an entrance gate that is at least 25' wide! It's out in MT on the way to Glacier NP. I think you'll appreciate it.
Reply:Very creative nice job!
Reply:Very nice. When I first saw the 2nd pict I thought this was Stan's eagle he did in this thread. They look remarkably similar.www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=6957.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
