I'm putting a welding rig together after 5 years as a pipeline helper. I found a great deal on a one ton extended cab diesel truck but it's not a long box. Any thoughts if i'll be able to work with that or should i leep looking? I'll be putting a lincoln sa200 on it with bottles, leads and tools. I've seen just about every type of set up out there but most had a long bed or a flatbed. However I can't spend what I'd like to this time - just have to get out working. Any input would be appreciated.
Reply:You can use a short bed. I've seen a few of them. There's a big thread around with pictures of various member rigs and what not. May help inspire you.
Reply:I can tell you my sa200 is a tight fit in my shortbed dodge, you loose a lot of space to the wheel arches in the bed.
Reply:Are you able to fit the rig in side to side in front of the wheels?
Reply:No mine is just a few inches too long to fit in crossways |
