Hello everybody!Today i orderd the 50kg of steel i need for my first (serious) weldingproject.It will be a woodfired bbq grill for the catering company i own in the netherlands.Most parts are made of 3 mm thick steel plateMonday the steel will arrive so then the fun part will begin!Here is a cad drawing i madeEnjoy!Pieter

Reply:There will be a wood fire in the back part of the grill. The hot coals can be pulled underneath the grid

Reply:The first welding is done!The backpart and the two sides are welded together.I think i pick up the grinder tomorrow and redo some of the welds...This is the best weld:
Reply:I would like to make something like that but foldable and portable. And by portable I mean it in the european way of the word PORTABLE. That is, I can keep it in the trunk of my van, not pull it along like some of the portable BBQ's i have seen here.I will keep an eye on this proyect just in case I can get some ideas from it!Good luck! |
