Reply:When I read that story, it reminded me of the Birdseye frozen food process. One of the Modern Marvel episodes told the history of the discovery and I later read that the freezing happens so fast, that the ice crystals that form are much, much smaller. This has the effect of not damaging the cell structure of the food being frozen. This flash heat treatment almost seems like the same idea, only going the other direction.Lincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
