Or is it Measure twice, cut once? A friend of mine owns a Marine shop and was installing this switch pod in a boat. He measured it, trimmed it down and...uh oh, too short. He asked if I could put the metal back for him so he could re-cut it. 6061 aluminum, TIG welded with my Syncrowave 250dx, 1/16" 5356 filler, 140 amps base machine setting with foot control, #7 on balance.Straight argon @ 15-20cfh, 2% thoriated 3/32" tungsten sharpened to a point, #5 cup on a #20 torch. Material was approx .125" with varying thickness due to the relief cuts for the switches.http://all-a-cart.comWelding Cart Kits and accessories
