Here's my first real welding project. It's a shop stool made out of a Jeep coil spring and an old tractor seat. The height is adjustable by turning the spring in the followers!

Reply:nice work how long did it take you to design ?
Reply:A couple of hours. I did a layout in Solid Edge CAD. This gave me most of the basic cut lengths.Then I made the legs on a simple jig.The last step of connecting the four legs together I just did with a sharpie and an angle template.Cheers

Reply:Aston, I know that this is an old post, but, first AWESOME stool. That is some really creative thinking. Is the stool seat always level as you rotate it through the base or do you just swivel the seat to balance it out?
