FABCON Tips?

I am off to FABCON in Chicago next week. A friend of mine has been bugging me to go. I am sure that I will enjoy it and learn some stuff. Not sure how much of it will be applicable to me, but I love technology, probably like most of you.Any tips? It has been a long time since I have been to a big trade show, and I have never been to FABCON. I plan to be there Monday-Wednesday.If you see somebody with a copper baseball cap, that will be me, stop me and say hi. Reply:Do you mean Fabtech  Over 1,500 displays. They are for the most part in groups of the same items. It is spread out over 2 halls so the maps helps. Also a smartphone app for the show helps some. If your there for more than 1 day, you can spend a full day just walking and making a list for the next few days. If time is short, go to the areas you need to see first. The check out what you can with the time left. You will do a lot of walking, so don't carry anything you don't want to lug around all day. They have a coat and bags check in for a few bucks. Use it. Most vender can scan your badge and send you the information you need in the mail. Less to carry around. If it is really important to you, get the info at the show. Not all vendors send the info. Never got info from Norton abrasive. Even after calling.  Some snack bars are on site as well as McD. So meals are ok. McD has better prices. If you are staying at one of Fabtech hotels, no need to drive. They have shuttle buses every 15 or 20 min for free. Better than paying for a cab. If you fly in, there is a hotel shuttle bus from the airports at half the price of a cab. The train is cheaper but may not have a stop near your hotel but also goes to the show. It's a good way to leave the show on the last day and go straight to the airport. I'm there for 4 days. If I see your copper hat, I'll say hi.Last edited by Quick; 11-15-2013 at 01:33 AM.
