Made my first few welded-up steel tables recently. Quite a hassle getting them properly square, I find, not to mention getting all the legs the same length. I suppose what is needed is a well made jig of some sort. Plus, probably, an appropriate method, which bits to weld first, what next, and so on... Anyone got any thoughts on that?
Reply:There was thread on here about this very topic. I would like to say it was in the layout forum, but my information is worth about as much as youre paying for it. IIRC it was titled "The proper way to square" or something like that. I would love to go searching for you, but im about to fall face first onto my keyboard. Good luck on your searches. And next time, include pics!
Reply:Include pics? I hadn't thought of that. But I guess you're right. There's all kinds of tables. Probably should show what kind I'm talking about. So, okay, here's what I make, up to now (and not too well, either) : ah... sorry, that last one is too big, I picked the wrong file to upload and I find the edit doesn't allow me to remove it... ah well....
