Got to do a little job at work and i have never tried this. What would be the best electrode choice for welding galvanized pipe to stainless pipe? Thanks
Reply:The Galvinize is just the coating on the outside so it must be removed to do a good job. Then I suppose just weld with steel or stainless. either way is not good but sometimes we do what we are paid for. Mac
Reply:I would use 309. And like Tool Maker said, clean it good first.
Reply:grind the galv off around the welded area and use 309 just like steel to stainlessVantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches. |
