But thankfully not my doing. The customer didn't like how tall the untouchable touch screen was so he stopped by and we worked out a sketch, some details and a budget for a whole new stand. I didnt make the old one, just a cover for the screen. It'll be another untouchable touch screen box on top of a curved neck made from 3"x3"x11g tube, with a pivot at the top of the neck. The neck will sit on top of the larger curved box. It's got to be at the powder coater's Monday morning so I can get it back by Wednesday, if I beg him to rush it.Oh but wait a minute, I've got to be at the golf course putting up rails Monday morning.Hey, Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my a**. Reply:I have days like that...where you need to be two places at once.
Reply:I thought it was normal to need to be in 5 places at once. Millermatic 252XMT 304'sDynasty 280DXHypertherm PowerMax 1250Miller Trailblazer 302 EFIOptima PulserXR feeder and XR Edge gun and more athttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/waynecook/index.htm
Reply:Well the rabbit has been pulled, and it didn't hurt too much.Golf course job is done, check is in the mail.Video display control stand, version 2.0, is at the powder coater's and should be ready by lunch time Monday. Luckily the customer was able to give me a couple of extra days since his schedule changed. I can't wait to see it after the powder coater is done.Brian LeonardAppalachian Ironworks L.L.C.434 Long Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753828 649 9966828 702 [email protected]
Reply:Done.A couple of things didn't come out as good as I'd have liked. If I'd had more time I would ask the powder coater to re-do the lid to the bottom box. This is the first time I ever had any kind of problem with his work at all in over 3 years. The gloss, or lack thereof (it's supposed to be flat) is uneven. You can see it in the pics, luckily it will be in a dark room. There are a few details here and there that I'd spend more time on and polish up a little more, but the customer loved it and expects to get more, even after I pointed out the flaws. So it's all good.Yeah that weld does look a little cold.Brian LeonardAppalachian Ironworks L.L.C.434 Long Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753828 649 9966828 702 [email protected] |
