Reply:Rick, mostly they are for trash, though I have seen a few for cardboard. You dump the stuff into the unit thru the black door shown thru the building wall, and then cycle the machine to crush everything into the dumpster.Looks like a self contained unit. The ones I was most familiar with had a separate compactor and dumpster, where the compactor stayed, and they just swapped dumpsters. This one looks like the type where they swap the whole unit compactor and all..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Very nice job! I can't believe how clean it looks right now. I was working on a compactor two days ago at a store and I almost stopped and got a tetnaus shot on the way home. Those things get so dirty, though the self contained ones fair a little better. And around here, to dump that type, they haul off the whole thing and dump it and bring it back. The stores have the same units all the time. no swapping. Round trip to the dump's about 2 hours.

Reply:Yea, that juice smell never leaves your nose. I keep all kinds of smell goods in the work trucks, and I tell guys when I hire them, if you drop something out of your lunch on the floor of one of the work trucks, leave it there I never knew maggots bite untill we started doing this type of work, years ago I was welding on a patch inside a reciver box and It felt like sparke were hitting my arm, well upon inspection, maggots were inside my long sleeve trying to chew on me.... NASTY!Thats funny about the air in the tire, If we use the plasma after using it to cut plate at one of the landfills we work at, ewwww. The compressor is 8 gallon dewalt, so it stinks when its being let out. You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. Albert Einstein
