I have an xmt 350 that just exploded the capacitors, will cost about 1600 to fix. I found a powcon for sale. I was wondering, are these less expensive to fix than the XMT? I am sort of pissed about how much they want for the IGBTs in it. I dont mind fixing stuff, just getting screwed on the parts sucks. Would I be able to fix a powcon down the line if I buy it?
Reply:problem is finding the parts. with powcon, arc products and now arcon all closed nobody has parts. If you search hard and watch cap sizes you might be able to replace the invert caps and output caps before they blow and cause something else to fail. |
