I'm trying to O/A silicon bronze (braze) some pipe fitting's together. I am using a oxidizing flame, preheat the base metal, and the rod, and when I try to start a bead all I get is a blob(no flow). I'm pretty sure my tip size is big enough. I can not find a definite answer on using flux or not??, I'm guessing that the rod may be for tig only. I know how to gas weld but I have never attempted silicon bronze before. I appreciate any help....Lincoln pro mig 180Lincoln Square Wave Tig 300/wp 20/home built water cooler Victor, Purox, Harris, O/A welding/cutting setupsVintage Craftsman drill pressVintage Craftsman/Atlas 12"x 36'' lathe7''x 12'' w/c band saw Everlast 140 st
