A Logo for my garage......

This is not nearly as cool as the arachnid cart, but I needed a project to break in my new Plasma cutter........I decided on a logo for the home garage..... At first I wanted "Fexal Fabrication" .... but decided that was too hard...... I mean it was easier than the truth... you know..... " Noob with a bunch of crap he barely knows how to use...." Reply:Looks good. How thick is that plate? Did you smooth out the edges of the letters at all? I did the same thing this weekend out of boredom. No place to hang it just yet and I need to smooth the letters. Reply:The metal is 1/4" Aluminum..... actually, I think it's 3/16th inch.......I cranked the Plasma up to 40amps and it went through just fine at a decent travel speed.I flapped the outside edges and the bottom where the slag was. Then I chucked up a die grinder type bit in the Dewalt and deburred the inside of the letters. It's smooth on all edges..... I mean it's not as smooth as it would be if it was cut with a water jet or something, but with the hand tools I have to work with..... it's pretty smooth.....Precision TIG 185 and MP 210Bobcat 225NTCutmaster 42O/A tanks.... 2 Argon tanks...... 2 C25 TanksFacebook...... Reply:looking good man, but you should see about puting the centers back in on the A and B.watching your vid i kept wondering how many times your were going to grab that thing without a glove on. Reply:I made a small sign for a company I worked for last year, 3d cut-out with standoffs for the cut out letters.We put some small UV and red leds behind it, and it looked GOOD. It was meant to look 'rough' and not finished, but the outside edges were deburred, it was flapped, then beadblasted. I pickled the entire thing in vinegar for a day or two, then misted it with vinegar/hydrogen peroxide/ salt mixture a few times in sunlight.  The beadblasting gave it a real nice texture for the patina to grow on..Miller: 200dx, Bobcat 225, Passport, Powermax 45, Milwaukee: Dry Saw, MagDrill, grinders
