I purchased a 1980 384 International tractor this past Spring. I saw some pics of tractors like mine with a factory grill guard. I found an NOS one on Ebay for around $200. It looked like a fairly simple design so I made one. The factory guard is just bent sheet metal. I used a 4 C-channel, ½ SS pipe, angle and some flat bar. Mine is much heavier and will work fine. The best thing is that I made it from pieces of steel that I had laying around. No cost. Attached Images
Reply:Nice job on the grill guard. I need to do the same for my tractor. Although yours doesn't have the "V" in the front like the factory one. Without the "V" how will you know where to aim??Spent some time in PA last year. Nice. But all the farm equipment is painted red.Down here it's all painted Green........Sign on East Texas payphone: Calls to God 40 cents......it's a local call...
