I just bought this hood and I also bought a arc one AD lens. How do I remove the old shade 10 and put in the AD. I feel like I'm gonna break the retaining clip. Is there an easier waySent from my iPhone using TapatalkUsing Tapatalk
Reply:They do break all the time! I took a steel retaining clip out of an old Jackson hood, and cut it down because I got tired of breaking the plastic ones. Reply:Grab the middle of each 4in side, top and bottom of the lense inside so to speak. And lift them up easy. Voila all pressure off! Do one at a time. I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

Reply:I know tons of people who use AD lenses in their pipeliner. I personally don't... I like the fixed shade...But in reference to your issue... you will not break the retainer. I mean, honestly, there is a chance... since it's plastic and all... but it's not easy to break it.I manhandle mine all the time. I'm still using the same retainer clip/part as I have been since I got the hood nearly a year ago. It feels cheap. You are right about that. But it holds up pretty well. I would recommend getting a gold shade 10 fixed lens, though. Screw that AD nonsense. |
