I saw this vid here http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=62615 and liked his design (without a skateboard), but need to know what would be the best way to fabricate the hinging mechanism. I work in a prison and can probably get the stool base from an old rec table that has been replaced during renovations. I've seen a dozen or so piled up in the back of the maintenance shop. My plan is to cut the stool from the table i'ts welded to now and use it on my welding table. I want to be able to move it in and out on some sort of hinged system to help with storage in an already overstocked shop. Any info and pics would be great.
Reply:K.I.S.S at its finest, I love it!
Reply:i was going to do that to mine but i think it would flip...im only 170 but my table is only 2.5 feet wide and about 5 feet long. i wouldnt want 500 lbs falling on me.
