Im wondering what cfh to set my regulator to. I have a longevity migweld 200s. Ive set the regulator to 23 cfh. Is that too much? I run .035 wire. My shop is an open pole barn with occasional wind.
Reply:For Mig I run between 15 & 20 CFH.Dont pay any attention to meIm just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400

Reply:Theres some days I really should run fluxcore. Or dual shield. Does htp make a good fluxcore wire? Thats where I get all my mig stuffSent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk
Reply:Make up a welding screen as a wind block. Here's some pics. One of these will help. You can buy the harbor freight welding blanket and build the frame. they have different sizes. http://www.harborfreight.com/6-ft-x-...ket-95015.html http://www.harborfreight.com/8-ft-x-...ket-67701.html http://www.harborfreight.com/4-ft-x-...ket-67833.html http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...ages&FORM=IGRE
Reply:But I do trailers and other large things. Its hard to have a screen that big and have to move it in and outSent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk
Reply:I don't think you'll need a T-8 wire, so for gas less flux core I really like Lincoln's NR-212, and Hobart's 21-B. But you may need a dedicated flux core gun to run them. Reply:Swamp check ebay for welding screens/curtains. I saw some cheap. Some people who sell them don't know what they are. I'd see about building a couple frames for them. Or tarps in the meantime. It's not that the 75/25 is so expensive it's just a huge pain to stop what your doing to change bottles. That's a 70 mile round trip for me. I suggest using as little as possible, but enough.Arcon Workhorse 300MSPowcon 400SMTPowcon SM400 x 2Powcon SM3001968 SA200 Redface1978 SA250 DieselMiller Super 32P FeederPre 1927 American 14" High Duty LatheK&T Milwaukee 2H Horizontal MillBryan
Reply:i have limited space at my shop, theres barely enough room to roll my longevity aroun with 2 bottles it has on the back of it, let alone some big ol honkin welding screen. |
