Got tired of losing my chuck key. Clamp made from 22g and table made from 18g all welded at 70amps with silicon bronze. Attached ImagesSIN CITY METAL WORKSvisit my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/devvon
Reply:Looks nice One question: what is the advantage of the silicon bronze over the E70S2?

Reply:I can see doing that for the oil can, but for the chuck key? I put a strong magnet on the side of my drill press head. It holds itself in place and also holds the chuck key very well. The magnet is well above the work, so it doesn't collect chips unless they are on your hands when you reach for the key. Reply:I like the idea. Another shelf is almost always handy and magnets aren't always what you want. Looks good!
Reply:Nice job. Had a plastic one but it bit the dust. Need anohter and I like what you did.How did you cut the major diameter of the 22g clamp. Inner done with hole saw. What size is the outer diameter? Also, how did you account for the rack that the table rides up and down on? Can you show us that side?Sign on East Texas payphone: Calls to God 40 cents......it's a local call...
Reply:very nice, I need one well two of these..
Reply:Paint the key red, make it a bit easier to spot. I chunk of rubber tubing over one side of the "T" handle and attach it to something helps too. Nice tray BTW!If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.

Reply:The simple fix is to silicone a chunk of tubing to the head of the drill press. But then overkill is always a good thing! |
