Is this Torch set worth it?

I was looking for welders at a Pawn shop close by and ran into this.  Gaspony set by Victor.  I've attached a pic, looks new.Is this good for a home garage?  I'm looking to outfit my garage and this was only about $250 new at the shop..ThanksBill Attached Images
Reply:Check retail prices online. The pawn shop guy gave no more than $25 for it. Yes it's worth more than that but they're in the biz of making money. My advice lowball him. Reply:Everybody like the cute little setups. There really isn't much juice to work with. They'll empty out pretty quick and can be costly to refill. Reply:The tanks are much too small for practical use. Furthermore, you can probably get them refilled but not exchanged at a local welding supply. That means that you would have to take them in, leave them and then return to pick them up. Reply:Some LWS do exchange them. You just have to ask around. Gas does go fast if your cutting. But lasts a good time for brazing, soldering and gas welding. Just remember small bottles, small torch small jobs. Good for small jobs where getting a large tank set to is difficult.
Reply:HVAC folks use those little porta torches as they're light and very portable.  Nice to have to solder or braze up a fitting as needed.  Not very handy or practical for a garage or shop.  Watch Craigslist and you'll find something that will work better for your needs.
