I recently just bought a Miller Trailblazer 302, it came with a Miller Xtreme 12V suitcase welder, I hook it up and it doesn't turn on, I've never used a suitcase welder before, it is currently set up to run Flux-Core. I need to know how to properly set it up and how to get it to turn on. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Don.Some Blue , Some Red & Some GreyProverbs 16:2-3.2 "All a persons ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. 3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
Reply:I have one on a 250 and love it. First off download the manual and read it. Make sure the welder is CV (though the suitcase can also work on cc) and hook the lead off the back of the suitcase to your welder. Then clamp the work clamp onto your metal and clamp the work clamp coming off the suitcase feeder onto the metal as well. I usually just put the one from the suitcase onto the work clamp. Then just turn on the suitcase feeder. There is a 10 amp CB inside the case near the hi/lo switch and cc/cv switch inside the case right above the drive rolls that may be tripped if it's not coming on.
Reply:Sorry I took way too long to respond, It was the CB, I replaced it and it works great!
