Reply:looks good!!! have you tried it out yet?
Reply:not yet, still have to make chains for it.... and bust a few motor mounts loose....Local 597
Reply:Nice set up. I can't actually see the workings, but I guess you can turn the all-thread by the handle and the hoist attachment point travels along the bar to set the engine at the proper angle?Neat!!
Reply:With no rollers on the travel sleeve, you are going to need a LOT of grease on that tube when you get a heavy engine block pulling down. It's hard enough to turn the crank when there are rollers supporting the travel part..... I feel like you are going to have to exert a huge amount of force on the crank. Please report back on the usablity. Still, I applaud your willingness to make a tool that you need.Miller Syncrowave 350Millermatic 252/ 30A spoolgunMiller Bobcat 225g w/ 3545 spoolgunLincoln PowerArc4000Lincoln 175 Mig Lincoln 135 Mig Everlast 250EX TigCentury ac/dc 230 amp stickVictor O/AHypertherm 1000 plasma |
