I have used cobramatic for awhile nkw but never with a mk2000 power suplly, the power supply i have used are old miller machines. Well this package came up for sale so i bought it. Problem i have is there are a million different settings on the mk2000. All i want to do is turn my heat up or down. Please help
Reply:Do you have the manual? You can download it from MK's site:http://www.mkprod.com/supt_manuals2.htmYes they are complicated! "Old school" pulse MIG technology. If you have a Miller XMT or similar welder to power the Cobramatic it might be simpler.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
Reply:I did download the manual and set up everything to the manual. But its like i have to almost strick and ark for it to work. If i just point my lead and pull the trigger the wire will just buch up and do nothing but if i drag it it starts up fine and i can weld but gets way to hot and if i turn the heat down and wirefeed diwn it just acts up
Reply:It might be old school pulse, but if you find a synergistic control for one, it will work very well. Nice short-arc machine if you get the slope set right. Better then a lot of inverters made today.. Lot more range in setting the type of short-arc.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i

Reply:Been ten years since I welded with one. Bring the pulse level up to 100% for short-arc.. Background slope 15-20 to start..Non-Pulsed OperationConstant VoltageOperation as a Constant Voltage (potential) power supply is shown inFigure 1. This is the operation obtained when the Pulse Height control is setto -0- and the Pulse Level is disabled by setting it to 100% with the PulseSlope set to -0-.With the Background Slope control set to -0-, the Background Level controlLast edited by Brand X; 02-03-2014 at 11:55 PM.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i
