Next week I will have (7) 500 gallon propane tanks and I want to cut the bottoms off and replace with a 45 degree cone.I have no means of making. So anyone here have a shop that can do it or recommend one anywhere in the Tampa FL area? I would even be willing to travel some. What I need is a 41" diameter, 45 degree cone made out of I'm thinking 3/16. I would like the small opening to not be any larger than 8", smaller would be nice.I've contacted several shops and not had any luck yet. Will keep searching.

Reply:Thanks. I'm actually waiting to hear back from Arrow sheet metal. Will try the others tomorrow.
Reply:3/16 kinda heavy. Might be why some of the shops cant or wont help.Arcon Workhorse 300MSPowcon 400SMTPowcon SM400 x 2Powcon SM3001968 SA200 Redface1978 SA250 DieselMiller Super 32P FeederPre 1927 American 14" High Duty LatheK&T Milwaukee 2H Horizontal MillBryan
Reply:diablo_svrI'm in the InterMountain West so I can't recommend anyone in FL.Consider narrowing your search to fab-shops: that build hoppers for agricultural commodities, that build process tanks, that build vessels for vintners, and lastly precision-sheet metal. The shop types are listed in general order of cost - low to high.Opus
Reply:Depends on if their rolling equipment can handle it, If you don't need to have a smooth surface, it might be cheaper to have it bumped through a press break |
