tig welding stainless steel (in need of advise)

hey all,was wondering if any one could shed some light on tig welding stainless. ive pretty good at mild steel and aluminum but for some resom stainless is killing me. ive watched numerous videos about it but cant seem to tranfer the skills when practicing. currently using everlast 200 dx, 2 percent ceriated tungsten(1/16) 1/16 308l, about 75 amps with foot pedal. also material is 306 1/8 thick. gas is obviously argon and have been using 10 cfh. i swear when i was using 20 cfh welds were looking better hten when using less argon. been using cups 6-8. Can some one give me some info. i  am tryingmto get the salmon pink colour in the welds. any suggestions about type size of tungsten, cup size, gas flow, stick out ect? look extrlemly forward to hereing from some experienced people.Cheers guys.
Reply:What do the welds look like? I wouldn't pay much attention to the color of the welds. Did you remove the oxide layer from the metal before welding?Myself, I'd be using 3/32 tungsten for that. Reply:i actually didnt remove oxide layer. welds didnt turn out so bad to be honest.
Reply:More amps I was told 1 amp per .001 minus twenty %. So 100 amps.
Reply:Use 150 amps and the pedal..But if you are not going to clean/prep the parts correctly then let someone that will do the job....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
