For a whitewater rafting/fishing guide that's based locally. 1-1/4" sch 40 uc pipe. I tried to get them to go for aluminum but they're shooting for low budget. The customer wants to try and sell a few so they went low price. It'd be great if they sell some but southeast (USA) whitewater isn't the best for oar rig boats so I'm not expecting a lot, but who knows. Now I "need" to build an aluminum one for my Avon Scout.Main frame members welded up.Jigging used to line up oar lock towers.Bending the oar lock towers on the Hossfeld #2Obligatory weld shot. Spec's: Powcon 300sm low range 60%, arc control + 80%, ER70-S6 wire @ ~ 38% speed, C25 gas @ 20cfhFinishedBrian LeonardAppalachian Ironworks L.L.C.434 Long Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753828 649 9966828 702 [email protected]
Reply:Nice work once again Brian! That'll sure take a beating. I guess alum vs steel is a tough call on stuff like this. Less weight vs bomb proof. Hope you see more business from it. 200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:That's pretty nice. Hope you worked a rafting trip into the deal. Are you going to have it powder coated?
