if you run out of projects, check out the new dr tree chopper. they had a video that was really neat. looks like building one for a tractor wouldn't be all that hard.miller thunderbolt 250vlincoln square wave tig 175 prolincoln idealarc mig sp250everlast tig 210EXTeverlast power plasma 50chicago electric (hf) 130 tig/90 arcchicago electric 90 amp flux wire3 sets oxy/acet
Reply:Looks like something from a horror movie for mowing down fleeing victims.  I bet that'd take a foot off real quick. You didn't build that.'85 Miller AEAD-200LE
Reply:I'd rather have one for a tractor than a quad. I can only imagine how beat up your body would be after driving into trees all day long. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:http://www.drpower.com/prdsell.aspx?Name=treechopperIf the tractor has hydraulics, just put a big arse circular saw blade on a hydraulic motor and you can buzz down all kinds of stuff.  Of course, it'd probably be a good idea to have some kind of pusher arm to make sure the tree doesn't fall back toward you and to keep from pinching the blade...http://www.toolorbit.com/Freud/Freud-LU72M020.html
Reply:Can't wait till Christmas... makes getting the tree quick. Being that it's on the 4 wheeler... the "kids" will be fighting to see who can down the most trees per day. It's pure genius.Last edited by forhire; 09-21-2012 at 06:45 PM.

Reply:Just saw this, been away a whileI've thought about making a real shear, but I figure it is too hard on the tractor.  I'm dealing with trees up to around 16" diameter trunks.  It's better for me to hire someone and let them tear up their equipment while I just build stuff to handle the downed trees (which I have)"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:I'll bet the ATV dealers just love that gadget.
