I dropped off my 20 year old Victor Firepower Regulators, USA made with my local LWS to be rebuilt. Did I make a mistake? Should I have bought a better used pair of regulators? They really were never used very much in my garge, just old age.Hobart 210 MVPHobart beta-mig 2510 Mig welderHobart 12ci Plasma cutter Victor OA Welding/Cutting Rig Linde 295 amp Stick welder bought 30+ years ago
Reply:When the LWS had my regulators rebuilt, the company that did the rebuilding essentially returned them looking brand new. I'm not sure if Victor 'Firepower' have a bad reputation or not but Victor regulators tend to be good (but expensive). I'm not sure why you are worrying.Con Fuse!Miller Dynasty 350Millermatic 350P-Spoolmatic 30AMiller Multimatic 200Hypertherm PowerMax 1000G3Miller Maxstar 200DX
Reply:I think the Victor Firepower regulators are their low end line. Hope they are worth rebuilding. They have served me well. I never had a problem with them. They were just old and never rebuilt before.Hobart 210 MVPHobart beta-mig 2510 Mig welderHobart 12ci Plasma cutter Victor OA Welding/Cutting Rig Linde 295 amp Stick welder bought 30+ years ago
Reply:They should be fine. I don't even buy new regs unless they are a screaming deal. |
