Reply:I'm a little curious to know how old your mower is?Bought mine last year, but looks like the same just newer.I have thought about doing the same.  (only have 3 trailers) 2 of mine like you have pictured just the wood sided trailer would be a cargo.  However empty they are light.The car trailer I would have to think about.  Don't think my frame is up the task for alot of weight, or the transmissions.I do pull a lawn trailer even then I keep it in low gear.  Just figure it's better on it that way.All in all, looks great saves you some work at the least, or your back trying to move them by hand on dirt/grass.  Even my lightest trailer is getting to be hard for me to move on conceret.I think the only thing I may do differently is a wheel to support the tounge weight, but I don't think that's a big concern either as I won't move them loaded with the mower so tounge weight will be light anyway, loaded "needing support" I don't think I would want to pull the weight with the mower.Looks great to me.  Nice to do something simple to really help yourself even if it's a small thing.
Reply:It is a 2008 and I cut 6 acres, it has a few mods. Rear tires are 4 ply and the biggest I could fit without trimming the body. Drive motor pulleys have been changed for more speed, deck pulleys have been changed for more blade speed, spindle bearings updated, commercial blades. My friend did some work on the motor (he builds Junior dragsters) It will go faster then it will cut.  This fall it will get a deck overhaul and the frame beefed up ( I have had to change almost all the frame bolts ). I was thinking about building a custom tube header, but I can't hear now.  I should just buy a new one but it won't be as much fun.The trailer ( 4'x8' ) it is hooked to is full of wood from a few small trees I cut down.www.georgesplasmacuttershop.comPlasma Cutter and Welder Sales and Repairs--Ebay storeTec.Mo. Reply:I made a hitch for an old Murray riding mower I had for the front of it. Amazing how much better control you have with the hitch on the front. I also used the hitch assembly along with my engine hoist for raising the front of the mower off the ground for changing the blades or belts etc. It worked great.

Reply:I recently purchased a zero turn mower, and at first thought about purchasing a lift designed especially for them but used my engine hoist along with a couple of straps and it worked great.
Reply:Sounds like yours is alot beefier then my mower then.I have thought about using the cherry picker to lift the front, as much of a pain in the but as it is I pull the deck.

Reply:I haven't gone about trying to remove the deck on mine, I raised the front end of it so I could see what kind of shape my blades were in. I have ana home made engine leveler on my engine lift that I put a couple of straps at the end and looped them right behind the arms on each front tire and lifted it right up. My zero turn is a 54" Husqvarna. Complet weight of the mower is about 750lb.
