Well a few months ago i saw this old SA out in someone's side yard in the weeds. I stoped in and asked if he would sell it. He said $400 and its yours. I came back the next day with $400, gas and a battery. Oiled everything up and she started right up and welded good!!!! I took her home and started to take it apart.Here are some pics and the story behind the SA200 F-163. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Reply:looking good!OK HERE IS WHERE I NEED. I cant since to get spark. I check everything on here about what to do and i just cant get it. Any have any ideas? OR is there any one around Ann Arbor area that i could take it to or come look at it on this site? I will pay out if we get it running! Reply:That was an excellent "find".Lincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Growing partial to the "Short Hoods" in my old age. Last count on Short Hoods was 13 in possession.
Reply:Well, in the beginning it ran so it's probably just an issue of making sure the timing marks are properly aligned. I'd remove the mag and clamp it in a vice. Rotate the input lugs and see if it will fire. If it won't fire, begin to check your timing marks on the small gears.It could just need to have the points re-adjusted also.Thanks,HoboLincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go. Reply:Skip the grounding cable on it, sucks to do it, but keep trying until your hands feel it. Did that on mine, heart skips a beat but I know I have spark.Bruce
