Was going shooting one Sunday and threw it together in about an hour with some scrap stuff I had laying around. Easy to make and is fun to shoot. Used 1/4" plate for the piece you shoot at and it held up great for handgun rounds. If you get the timimg right you can get it swinging around and around. We ended up trying out some 7.62 rounds and it's swiss cheese now Chicks Dig Body DamageMiller Dynasty 200dxHobart Handler 187Lincoln AC 225
Reply:I hope you angle the hanging part back a little. If you don't and shoot it with a .22, the bullets will come back at you. Don't ask me how I know.
Reply:I didn't realize that would happen but will keep that in mind for sure. I've been shooting it from about a 12 foot higher elevation so that has probably helped with the angle.Chicks Dig Body DamageMiller Dynasty 200dxHobart Handler 187Lincoln AC 225
Reply:And I would be afraid the edges of the skull thingy could catch a slug and send it anywhere & everywhere. But very cool looking!"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Being able to swing is key, the impact absorbs most of the energy, and the swing deflects the bullet to the ground.I have been looking at building a dueling tree, the problem is buying AR400 or AR500 I priced a 4X8 sheet of 3/8 (for shooting ar15's and 30cal rounds) and at over $800 a sheet I'm a little hard pressed to buy it. I know I can get $200-300 per target, but there really is not much left for profit. My coworkers all want one. And I could keep myself busy for about 3 weeks knocking them out, but with not much profit it's like working for free.
