How do you store your TIG torch parts, tungsten, wire brushes and other items you need to find easily but protect also?Cups, Collets, bodies, Tungsten and all the little things you need but may not need RIGHT NOW, where do you put them?I am trying to figure out the best way for me to organize and protect the items I need. I want it easy to get to but protected from loss or damage and dirt.Photos if you have them would make my day. Thanks
Reply:i use separate compartmental tool boxes for each process and just mark them with a silver felt pen for tig, oxy, mig, stick, plasma etc. they just sit on the shelf nice and neat, which is about the only thing neat in my shop225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw

Reply:I keep mine in a small, bright yellow, tool box.  I rarely have to get into it, but when I do it's easy to find.My name's not Jim....
Reply:i dont find that stuff needs too much protection, its not like 7018..mine are all ina small opentopped wooden box that sits on my table where i tig..the biggest issue i find with tig stuff is sometimes the er70s2 gets a bit of rust on it if its been around.. a swipe with some fine steel wool and an acetone wipe and it is ready to attach to the tungsten...
Reply:i have all of the gas lens, collets, cups, tungstens and such stored in a tackle box sorted by size, new and used, and if used then steel or aluminum. o, and part numbers on the bottom of each binDynasty 200DXPassport plus w/ spoolmate 100victor 315c oxy/(act and prop)Miller digital elitemilwaukee power tools

Reply:10 Dollar fishing lure pocket box.  It will hold full tungs, collets, a cup or two and collet holders as well as O-rings and lube and a spare connector or three.  Get it at Wally world for cheap and claim you got it from the new tig accessory store for 50 bucks as a must have.  Once anybody sees yours they will all want one of there own.   BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
Reply:Dedicated rollaway tool box, has everything from tungsten to replacement cutting heads in it and all the filler wire in 2" pvc tubesI forgot how to change this.
Reply:Cheap fishing tackle box.  Get one with the removable plastic dividers and arrange it to fit your needs.  A short slot for collets, a long spot for tungstun, etc, etc.Dynasty200DX w/coolmate1MM210MM VintageESAB miniarc161ltsLincoln AC225Victor O/A, Smith AW1ACutmaster 81IR 2475N7.5FPRage3Jancy USA1019" SBAEAD-200LE

Reply:I have a drawer on a larger tool box dedicated to TIG consumables.  In the drawer, the tungsten is in small tubes, the collets are in little clear plastic bags.  Everything labled with Sharpie as to size.   Nozzles pretty much just flying around the drawer.  This particular tool box doesn't move often.  If anything, opening little plastic baggies is about as difficult as it gets.  On the plus side, I can instantly tell if I misplaced my 3/32 collet...  There should be 2 in the bag.  I now have a WP17 torch as well which is just messing up my system.  The collets are different enough that I should be able to tell them apart.Other drawers are for helmet face plates (and batteries).Top is for gloves, a couple of manuals (tip sizes for O/A).One drawer dedicated to O/A cutting tips etc.Bottom big drawer has regulators and spare parts for O/A.Con Fuse!Miller Dynasty 350Millermatic 350P-Spoolmatic 30AMiller Multimatic 200Hypertherm PowerMax 1000G3Miller Maxstar 200DX

Reply:Ooo, I like that box. Mine is a bit small for the tungsten to fit nicely. I've been watching for a slightly bigger one but haven't seen just the right one yet.
Reply:I use this one from Horrible Fright.http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-to...ner-94458.htmlThe small dividers slip out leaving the long compartments for tungstens and long end caps.RogerOld, Tired, and GRUMPYSalesman will call, Batteries not included, Assembly is required, and FREE ADVICE IS WORTH EXACTLY WHAT YOU PAY FOR IT!Dial Arc 250HFThunderbolt 225 AC/DCAssorted A/O torches

Reply:^ All your filler is shot. If you don't use up filler in a relatively short time you need to seal it up in some sort of container.

Reply:What ?  NO ONE HAS 'ROLLED' THEIR OWN ?   People are getting plastic compartment sorting bins where one misdirection of the OA torch melts all your consumables into one smelly GLOB ?No one has used six different thicknesses of Stainless tigged with multiple types of tungsten ( just to show they can do it ) ?   and the box protected by Viton or Delrin O-Rings to keep the stuff dry ?I was expecting more from you guys....Weldandpower Lincoln 225 AC,DC with Briggs 16hp gas engine.WW2 era Miller TIG.
