I did not make this piece of ART.It showed up at my place for a repair, the guy called it a header.  I dissagree...There are no after pics..."Most" of the tubing was Ti... The 2 plates are steel, the brace piece is galvi. He used 308 rod for most of the welding, & silly bronze for the rest..Oh, my head..Buy American, or don't whine when you end up on the bread line.
Reply:Slap it against the belt sander and call it good...
Reply:what did you do to "fix" it?miller syncrowave 250hobart handler 140home made 400 amp engine driven in progress...
Reply:Looks like sink drains.  Are you certain they aren't discolored chrome on brass?- MondoMember, AWSLincoln ProMIG 140Lincoln AC TombstoneCraftsman Lathe 12 x 24 c1935Atlas MFC Horizontal MillCraftsman Commercial Lathe 12 x 36 c1970- - - I'll just keep on keepin' on.
Reply:big belt sander= good to go. Header flange isnt worth the effort of a surface grinder or the fixturing to get it in the mill. The gaskets are pretty forgiving and nothing RTV cant fix if they need a little help.
Reply:Just use a d*mn thick gasket!
