Reply:You don't understand! FEMA people are so dumb you can bill that thing at $100.00 per hour. They'll pay without knowing there is anything wrong.I had $118500 damage in Hurricane Irene, FEMA wouldn't help, but did send $1026. for the damage to the entry to my driveway. Go figure????They sent a man to calculate the loss. You can't count machines only buildings and real estate. In the conversation he asked how many weeks of backhoe work it would need to repair. I replied: I wouldn't hire a backhoe, I'd get a large excavator. He: You mean a bulldozer? I: No, a track mounted excavator. He: A track mounted excavator? is that a payloader  or bulldozer? I: Neither, an excavator ( I used hands to describe) He: Never seen one. This clownfish is paid as a natural disaster estimator, but has never seen an excavator!
