How low do you guys generally take the bottle before refill? Here is where I currently sit.Bottle gauges by Jon Kensy, on FlickrNot sure how linear the fall off is, but I suspect that much more welding will put me empty for the weekend When do you guys refill?Miller Diversion 180Hobart Handler 140 (Soon to be replaced with Miller 211?)Miller Spectrum 625 Extreme
Reply:I run mine until EMPTY.The main pressure guage can be on zero for up to 3 hrs before the tank is truly empty..But I use the BIG tanks..Keep an eye on the low pressure guage. When that one falls off then it's over....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:x2 on what Zap said, run em' dry and get your dollars worth. Happy welding [Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009

Reply:Just remember..It's just fine to run'em dry BUT you must have a reserve tank ready to go.Sucks to have to stop and go get/wait for the refill..I have one full one on stand by at all times......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Keep a roll of fluxcore handy just in case you do run out over the weekend?Actually the LWS told me that they supply the TSC store here and that I can exchange tanks there on weekends also although I suspect it would be more expensive.Ken
Reply:Zap is right run them till dead empty. Buy another bottle, I load mine up and refill the spare when I am down to 700-800.

Reply:I always seem to run mine completely out before refilling them.Mainly because I am not paying attention and run out of gas in mid project every time. |
