Question on Cast Welding

A friend brought me a relatively high end wood stove with a leg broken off and asked me if I could weld it back on for him.  The break is a couple inches where the leg attaches to the stove between the end and where the leg bends down.  I am assuming usual procedures for welding cast apply but thought I'd ask just the same  on what the best approach would be.    The metal is about 3/16" thick.Thanks for your help.Steve in Central TX
Reply:First thing we need is the process you plan on using...Clears up alot right off the bat....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Use nickle rods for that job, They cost bout 3 bucks each round here,but its the easiest way to fix that problem without any pre or post heat treatment JMO
