What's up I am a new member so there is probably stuff about spray already but I want to see pics of peoples spray arc welds what gas wire size machine wfs and volts you also can throw in pulse spray pics to I do both at work and will upload my pics when I get on my computer  Also want to know if my dads 180 MIG welder could handle or even do spray I just don't want buy the gas and it can't do it thanks

Reply:Looks like another one trying to run before he has learned how to crawl and then how to walk...First thought that entered my mind if wondering WHY the OP needs machines settings and pictures for welding processes that he/she "Does at work"???Second thought is WHY the OP is asking if a baby wire feed welder is capable of Sray Arc Transfer when the OP should be able to make that determination for himself/herself.  For anyone with experience, it should be fairly obvious.Smells kinda fishy to me.I have a Lincoln SP 170-T at home that I bought back in the '90's and I never had to ask what it could do... I researched the product before purchasing it, then I read the owner's manual AND read the chart on the inside of the wire feed compartment door that most manufacturer's place there for convenience.Off my soap box now... Reply:Hey sprayarcing  welcome to weldingweb.com.  Unfortunately there are some self proclaimed  experts here who rather than simply answering your question, will lazily refer you to the search function of this  website.  Afterall, answering your questions seems to be "above" their self proclaimed welding status here.   Apparently, this website in "their" minds is for "experts" only that feel that they nor anyone else can "learn" anything more in life.  They don't believe in sharing either.  If the search function on this website is their "go to," then why even have this website to begin with?   Wouldn't google alone suffice?You'll get a lot of "DOWNERS" that like to kick people in the ballz instead of answering your question.  It's obvious they are just too cool for school and would rather belittle people. Reply:Spray arc looks really nice when done correctly, I don't wire feed much anymore unless its to repair a neighbors wheel barrow or lawn mower......My old Hobart Beta Mig 200 has never been asked to spray weld and I don't even know how to set it up?Maybe one of these days I'll spend some time and see if its up to the task.....Looks fun  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:The pc police have only inflamed this situation.  It is a shame they are too busy throwing rocks instead  of welding.  To the op, as stated by others post some data on your machine.
Reply:There is a search function that works quite well if you decide to use it. Here is a metal core spray arc weld on 5/8 plate. This is the first pass of 3. We are not allowed any bigger than a 3/8 weld per pass and no smaller than a 5/16 weld. Attached Images
