Hello All,I am a novice with TIG and my 200 DX machine. However, I find that I increasingly want to use a flex head torch for some projects. Instead of spending a bunch of money for stuff I don't need I would like to just replace the tig torch body w/ a flex and reuse all my other stuff; hose/cable, cups, collets, cap, etc.My machine came w/ the standard WC 17.I was about to order thishttp://www.ckworldwide.com/ck17f.htm17 super flex 1-piece w/ 25'but decided I didn't need all that. Are there any recommendations for just replacing the body where all my other stuff will work? I was trying to avoid buying anything made in China but most do not indicate country of origin.USA weld has thishttp://www.ckworldwide.com/ck17f.htmwhich seems reasonable, but i can actually find something similar on ebay for less that appears to be the same but could just be a knock off.Weldcraft looks to have a flex body but it is $55+ w/o anything else, which makes the CK stuff look more reasonable as it comes w/ the superflex.Thoughts?Morgan
Reply:just order what you need from HTP (usaweld). so long as it is a 17 series, all the consumables will interchange. HTP uses CK torches exclusively. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:You will be happy with your new torch. I bought the same torch from them attached to a 25' hose for my Longevity 200EX. I wanted to be able to swap between torch and foot control easily. HTP-usaweld is a great source. |
