anybody have experience with this model http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INPDFF?PMPAGE=416I know this isnt any top of the line model or anything, but is this a total cheap piece of crap?
Reply:It pretty much looks like a knockoff of a Jet.MSC now owns Enco, and usually has the same product at a lower cost, so you might want to check MSC.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:The only difference I see between this and my HF is the extra brace on the stand.Your going to want to fabricate a better stand anyway. They want 60 bucks extra for a UL motor.HF has the same basic machine on sale for a hundred and fifty bucks. The motor on mine gets hotter than Franz talking about the "Hildibeast"., But it seems to keep running.Last edited by fla jim; 03-24-2004 at 07:51 AM.

Reply:I just picked up the cheapo HF jobbie. A new blade and new stand and it will be cool. A few other little mods and will be better than most of teh $500 jobbies out there.
Reply:you mean this one from MSC?http://www.mscdirect.com/IWCatProduc...3132&Keyword=YWhy do they want $234 and say nothing about shipping?
Reply:The Enco, like the Jet and Grizzly has the toller guides of cast iron, not aluminum stampings outside the cast iron frame.Enco is charging $199 for an one of their 4X6 models with an american made UL motor model right now - shipping ~$70. |
