Looking for a replacement 1hp motor formy table saw. 3450 RPM 115/230 56 Frame. Tried grainger and surplus center.Where else?

Reply:Is it totally fried??If not you should be able to fix it.Normally the starter capacitor dies. (underneath the humpon the frame) or the centrifugal switch inside getsstuck. I fixed many of them in the past few years...http://www.northerntool.com I saw one there also.
Reply:Before you get too down on the old one, take an airhose and blow out the starter switch. One of mine quit a few years back & it was just sawdust in the contactors of a 50+ year old motor.
Reply:Banzai,You don't say what saw you have, but if it's a belt drive saw, I'd think about going to a 1-1/2 hp motor if your repair efforts fail. One horse is kinda light for a 10" saw, but maybe you ain't got that!!Be well.hankj
