G'day guys,I would like to know if it is possible for me to reverse the polarity to use E71T-11 gasless wire from the front of the machine or if I need to go inside and swap some lugs?If I was to take a guess I would say I have to plug the middle cable into the earth port (-) and plug the earth clamp into the mma port (+)Would that achieve this or do I have to open up the unit and swap the pos and neg terminals?Any help would be greatly appreciatedCheers,Dan
Reply:What, you didn't get an owners manual with that machine? Have you tried reading it?
Reply:Theres a +/- symbol rite under where it saiz MIG. Is that a polarity switch?
Reply:Kinda looks like you select the polarity with the wire and connector hanging out the front of the unit....MillerMatic 252, HTP 221 w/cooler, Hypertherm PM45, Lincoln IdealArc 250 AC/DC"I'd like to believe as many true things and as few false things as possible"
Reply:There's only two ways of plugging in the electrode and work leads, so you have a 50-50 chance of getting it right the first time. Reply:For anyone down the track searching the forum for the same answer with a similar setup, swapping the configuration as above will in fact reverse the polarity.Such a convenient setup! |
