There is a Mac Tool 1250 mig welder on e-bay. It says that its a 110 power source and is rated at 165 amps. It sounds like the gun will need to be replaced as it says that you have to squeeze it real hard to make it work. The biddings at around 150 now with a day left....My questions are does 165 amps sound high for a 110 unit, does anyone know who made this for MAC Tools and the parts situation. The seller is actually 10 min from my home, so shipping isnt an issue, what do we think a fair price for this machine is. I believe he states its 8 years old...
Reply:DON'T even slow up as you pass it!Mac and SnapOn welders were all built by the lowest bidder, and repair parts are a major pain in the *** to find.Mac is now part of StanRee tool, and the guys driving the trucks don't have a clue.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
