best tig gloves

hi,what is the best tig gloves?i have a problem with my bsx tig gloves, i used it for 6 days only…. any suggestions?thanks...

Reply:The best TIG welder I've ever been in the same room with uses a knit glove I think it may be like the ov glove. He uses no glove on the filler hand.

Reply:Mig, tig, arc, this glove has served us well. For soda cans to 2 inch thick alum, once broken in this just keep going. In fact as they age they get thinner. The tactile dexterity is key to us, and on hot humid days the thin ones get too slick. When they get dirty, wash them like you wash your hands, with the gloves on. You will be shocked and amazed at the dirt that is released. Hang em up to dry and next day you are ready to go. Each of us have a couple of pairs that we rotate. Newbies get my old ones to kill off. You can't know until you try a pair. Reply:I owned a pair of those BSX gloves. I was warned they are for light use. The definition of "light" seems to differ from the company and my own perspective. They lasted around 4 months of daily use.I still use Tillman 1350s (I think they are advertised as MIG gloves)... they are way better than the Tillman gloves designed for heliarc (24, 30, etc.). I had a pair of 24s and couldn't use them at all. But like Shovelon said, my staple is the 750s. They look like stick welding gloves but you have surprising dexterity in them. The only con is having to "break in" the long cuffs, since they're a bit stiff the first couple times. But the long thick cuff, once it's a bit worn, comes in handy when you have to rest your wrist on a hot piece of pipe to finish the back side of a restricted in position weld. And the more you use them, the better they get.Then they die. The way I weld, or feed filler, I guess, I tend to wear out the finger tips of the index, middle, and thumb pretty quickly. But I first started using the Tillman 850s since I did a lot of tig/stick work, but once I had to replace them I got the 750s and have never looked back. Very versatile, comfortable, and durable. Especially holding up to heat, and when you're holding big hot pieces of metal.
