I'm working on the water truck again. Since we are really slow, the boss wants to get this done. Somehow, I get the feeling this will be my last week, then layoff time. Well this time I got to move the tank forward to try and get some weight off the drives. But with the big dog house, I still can't get it forward enough to be legal with a full load. And also I plasma torched holes in the bed and used grade 8 bolts, instead of rushing and just welding them on like last time. Although, we ran most of summer with out those failing. Still, I feel better doing it the correct way, no matter what the boss says. This time he's not in such a hurry.First I welded a fill tube. Then I mounted the tank. Now I'm working on the osha safety rail. More pics to come."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"

Reply:Got a little more done on the railings. Now concentrating on the fold down ladder. Tubing is 2" square 1/4" wall, angle is 2" x 2" x 3/16", channel is 3" x 1/4" web x 1 1/2" width. I ran out of tubing and I still need the 3/16" x 4" flat stock for the toe board. All welding is done on the Red-D-Arc XMT, 7018, 3/32" @ 95ADC, 1/8" @ 120ADC."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!!
