Reply:Im not trying to come off as a d@#k but this is why I use a simple on off switch (99.9% of the time). I could have welded all of those hinges in the amount of time it takes to jack around with a foot pedal.www.performancealuminumfabrication.com

Reply:You need a hand control for this kind of stuff. I have a ck worldwide rotary amperage control that mounts on the torch. Works perfect. At the time I bought it I was doing aluminum floor wear plating. Cut my time in half.  Paid for itself the first day. It's great for tacking.  I don't use it in the shop too much as I prefer the foot pedal. Definitely worth having in your bag of tricks.http://www.ckworldwide.com/amperage_controls.htm

Reply:When I had to weld hinges on I bought the ones with the holes in it. And mig welded the holes, super easy and quick. Looks good though.
