Reply:Really cool project. Cant wait to see more pics of the rebuild.
Reply:Did you build the new grill based on photos of an original?  It is awesome work.  I am not being critical just wondering where the design came from. Thanks, "CX"ConductorX - The Volkswright Shophttp://volkswright.blogspot.com/http://bugwerks.blogspot.com/Miller DVI w/Spoolgun - Miller Plasma Cutter
Reply:I could not find any pictures of the original grill, so I dreamed one up, the BFA*5 stands for Brookville Ford, Allision 5 ton machine. it has a flat head for v-8 and an Allision transmission
Reply:It is still awesome work and a fine design.  "CX"ConductorX - The Volkswright Shophttp://volkswright.blogspot.com/http://bugwerks.blogspot.com/Miller DVI w/Spoolgun - Miller Plasma Cutter

Reply:Grill turned out great.I took a tour of the train shop in Mineral this spring and was really impressed by the craftsmanship that goes into the old trains. Not just the restoration but also the original manufacture. Some of the designs are downright genius and all were unique and interesting.Keep the photos coming this is great stuff.
Reply:Steelman, Nice job on the grill. At first I thought that engine was used to shift cars at a rail yard, but I see it runs on a narrower set of tracks. What was it used for?
Reply:that was used in the westinghouse factory in westmoreland county PA, they bought two identical locomotives, the match to this one is owned by Doc Harvey who has the coolspring power museum. it is not restored yet. thanks for all the nice comments, after seeing some of the quality stuff you guys post it is quite a compliment
