Rail I did last summer. It was fabbed to match an existing rail in the clients house. Easy build. Hand formed the scrolls. Brazed the ornaments onto the balusters, The finish is just mill finish with satin lacquer. All welds and HAZ left in tact. I did grind the bronze on the ornaments. A stand for an old bellThe frame sketch on metal. I didn't have a piece large enough so I spliced a couple of pieces. frame assembled. Frame was o/a welded 3/16" steel. Migged to base and the mount bracket. completed frame at clients housea couple of sconces. Fabbed from 1/2" sq tubing. Wiring runs through the tubing and chain to a lamp. Fairly satisfied with the scrolls. The tubing was tough to bend. It is hand formed, my scroll tools wouldn't work. A couple of repairsbroken casting. Could have ordered another, However since all the parts happened to be there I repaired it, just for the challenge. It was part of a larger rail repair. repairedan urn, This was a barter. I don't think it would have been worth repairing otherwise. Repaired the damaged ring with a piece of tubing cut and notched to match the existing part. It was most difficult to get the curve to match since the tubing was linear it needed to be bent upward to match the radius of the existing ring. It was totally brazed repair and ground smooth. This is the repaired side. Good practice for me. Last edited by tapwelder; 01-21-2013 at 11:14 PM.
