trying to brush up on my tig welding

due to being in the factory mig welding 12 hours a day for the last year or so i havnt been able to keep up with my tig practice. sdo basically im starting from the beginning unfortunatly my camera phone seems to have had better days but:syncrowave 200about 170 amps3/32" 2% thoriated tungsten15 cfm on the argonlet me know how much i suck lol
Reply:You need work on rythem but other than that..Go weld 2 pieces together now then we'll see.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Top pict you dipped the tungsten and then didn't stop and grind. I can tell from the "soot" that shows visibly at the top of the pict.As mentioned you need to work on your consistency from what I see in the picts. Overall they aren't bad for a beginner, but you need to work on the details now. Since I see what might be a tendency towards short 1-2" long sections that seem to be similar in the T picts, I'm guessing you are feeding about that much wire and then either stopping, repositioning, or readjusting to get more filler forward.If your issue is that you have used up all the filler available forward of your hand, you need to practice on sliding filler forward as you go continuously. I usually suggest students take a 1/2 piece of filler and "play" with it while they watch TV. Just work on moving the filler back and forth thru your feed hand one handed. The idea is to train your hand in those motions. You don't have to be welding to do this, and the distraction of watching tv helps so that you get used to doing this without concentrating on it. You have other things to concentrate on while welding than the motions of feeding filler..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
