Brazing

I tried to braze a piece of copper to the underside of my welding table so I could use it as a reliable grounding area.  I used Lincoln Electric bronze brazing rods.  The rod melted, but neither stuck to the steel nor the copper.  I used an oxypropane torch. Reply:did you clean the metal and use flux? brazing involves a capillary action into a fitted joint..generally in various processes heat the metal and let that heat melt the filler..do not directly heat filler..
Reply:Try getting the table hotter.
Reply:"Butter" the thicker metal prior to attempting to attach the thinner metal. In doing this you will only need to reheat the brass and not the entire area of the thicker metal.Thanks,HoboLincoln SA200's... at least 15 - 20. They come and go.
